Frequently-Asked Questions

Pure History students who need to strengthen their mastery of Modern World History topics would find the course useful.

Please note that these topics are excluded from the course:

  • Impact of World War I (Treaty of Versailles & League of Nations)
  • The Causes of Germany’s Defeat in Europe
  • Colonial rule in Malaya, the Indonesian Archipelago and Vietnam
  • Decolonisation of British Malaya, the Dutch Indonesia and French Vietnam

The course covers most of the N level History Elective topics.

However, please note that SEQs and LORMs follow O level assessment standards.

We will also not cover these N level topics in the course:

  • Impact of World War I (Treaty of Versailles & League of Nations)
  • The Causes of Germany’s Defeat in Europe

The following O level topics included in the course are not examinable at the N level exam:

  • Militarist rule in Japan (Session 7)
  • The Korean War (Session 2)

Please check your child’s school’s History syllabus to see if the topics we’ll cover in the course would help your child.

Do also note that the essay questions we’ll cover in the course will be catered to the O level assessment format.

After each practice, your child may check their answer against the suggested Levels of Response Mark Scheme (LORMs).

If your child needs to strengthen their content mastery, yes, this course would help.

However, do note that some of the SEQs and content featured in the webinars are similar to those that your child may have been exposed to in the weekly online coaching programme. Your child can still use it as a revision aid, especially to review the Secondary 3 topics.

As our coaches invest significant time and effort into crafting and running this course, there will be strictly no refunds for all charged payments.

However, if you are unsure if the course is suitable for your child, you may opt for the instalment payment plan.

If you’d like to cancel, just let us know before the second month’s payment is due.

We will then terminate your child’s access to the course and you will not be billed for the remaining fees. (This is not possible if you have signed up with a discount code.)

Our coaches will prioritise answering questions related to the SEQ practices covered in the course.

Questions related to external History Elective essay practices will be answered on a best effort basis.

Do note that we will not assign grades or marks to students’ draft answers, but we will give feedback and ask further prompting questions to help your child improve his/her answer technique.

The lessons are not conducted using Zoom.

Your child is to attend the webinars using any web browser, preferably Chrome browser, and on a large-screen device.

No worries, recordings of all webinars will be uploaded within 3 days after the end of each live webinar, and your child can watch the recordings to catch up anytime. The coaches are also available to answer any questions over in the course Q&A section.

Your child may enter the webinar at any time when the lesson is live.

However, we highly recommend your child to get ready with a large-screen device about 10 minutes before the start time, just in case of some unexpected technical issue.

The number of students does not affect your child’s learning experience since students are not able to see one another, or other messages, so your child will not be distracted by other students in the lessons.

Your child can use the private Q&A text box to respond to the coach’s guiding questions or ask the coach any questions.

Your child’s text messages can only be seen by the coach but not by other students.

There is no need for your child to turn on any camera or microphone.

The recording of each live lesson will be released within 72 hours of its completion.

All recordings can be accessed from the time of release to the end of the course.

  • A stable internet connection
  • Speakers/earphones
  • A large-screen device that allows students to comfortably do the following:
    • One tab to watch the webinars and type questions in the chat area, and
    • Another tab to type on the digital notes
