Frequently-Asked Questions

Yes, they are. However, do note that question types and mark schemes are in the Express/G3 formats.

It’s best to consult the History syllabus in your child’s school. While the History exam skills covered in this course are commonly needed by IP/IB students, topics covered in your child’s school may be different.

Generally, if your child’s school adopts the mainstream History textbook (Singapore – A Journey Through Time 1299 – 1970s), our courses would likely be a good fit.

If the school relies on customised notes/readings, then it’s likely that our courses would be of limited help.

This course is not necessary if your teen is already in our weekly small group online coaching programme, as it is to offer support to students who are unable to get seats in that programme.

Most of the Practices featured in the course are similar to those that your child has done in the weekly online coaching programme.

As our coaches invest significant time and effort into crafting and running this course, there will be strictly no refunds for all charged payments.

However, if you are unsure if the course is suitable for your child, you may opt for the instalment payment plan.

If you’d like to cancel, just let us know before the second month’s payment is due.

We will then terminate your child’s access to the course and you will not be billed for the remaining fees. (This is not possible if you have signed up with a discount code.)

No, hard copies of materials will not be provided. However, you are free to download and print materials in the course area.

After each practice, your child may check their answer against the suggested Levels of Response Mark Scheme (LORMs).

The lessons are not conducted using Zoom.

Your child is to attend the lessons using any web browser, preferably Chrome browser, and on a large-screen device.

Your child can use the private Q&A text box to respond to the coach’s guiding questions or ask the coach any questions.

Your child’s text messages can only be seen by the coach but not by other students.

There is no need for your child to turn on any camera or microphone.

The number of students does not affect your child’s learning experience since students are not able to see one another, or other messages, so your child will not be distracted by other students in the lessons.

Your child may enter the live lesson at any time when it is live.

However, we highly recommend your child to get ready with a large-screen device about 10 minutes before the start time, just in case of some unexpected technical issue.

No worries, recordings of all live lessons will be uploaded within 3 days after the end of each lesson, and your child can watch the recordings to catch up anytime. The coaches are also available to answer any questions over in the course Q&A section.

The recording of each live lesson will be released within 72 hours of its completion.

All recordings can be accessed from the time of release to the end of the course.

Questions about course assignments and content will be answered within 3 working days. Questions about any other assignments will be answered on a best-effort basis.

Our coaches will prioritise answering questions related to the practices covered in the course.

Questions related to external practices will be answered on a best effort basis.
Do note that we will not assign grades or marks to students’ draft answers, but we will give feedback and ask further prompting questions to help your child improve his/her answer technique.

  • A stable internet connection
  • Speakers/earphones
  • A large-screen device that allows students to comfortably do the following:
    • One tab to watch the webinars and type questions in the chat area, and
    • Another tab to type on the digital notes
  • (Optional) A working printer if you prefer your child to print out the notes and fill in the notes by hand

Your child will be able to access the online course until 31 October 2024 in order to prep well for the End-of-Year Exams.
